The Fire Station Open House is back for its second edition!
Families are invited to enjoy a fun and educational day at the Fire Station Open House, hosted by the Fire Department to highlight Emergency Preparedness Week.

PROGRAM
For the occasion, firefighters will be on site all day to give tours and demonstrate the equipment they use and various fire trucks.
In addition, there will be several public safety information booths perfect for the whole family, featuring various organizations such as:
- National Capital Commission
- Institut de protection contre les incendies du Québec
- Maison des Collines
- Maison Libère-Elles
- Association des bénévoles du don de sang
- Ottawa Volunteer Search and Rescue
In case of rain, the event will still take place.
Time: 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Age group: 4 years and older
Participants are invited to take part in a walking or cycling rally to learn more about fire safety and emergency preparedness.
How it works: Eight puzzles to solve will be scattered around the main Fire Station and Town Hall. People who want to take part in the scavenger hunt must go to the main Fire Station to receive the question sheet. This sheet must be completed and returned by 2 p.m. to be eligible for a participation prize at the end of the day!
Please note that the question signs are in French only.
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., a BBQ will be held at the main Fire Station to benefit Baseball Chelsea.
Time: 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Age group: 2 years and older
Firefighters will give live demonstrations of how to extinguish cooking fires, perform extrication and use a fire extinguisher.
Time: 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Age group: 2 years and older
At the end of the day, prizes will be drawn from those who completed the scavenger hunt as well as other attendees.
