Celebrate the pleasure of winter sports with us !

February 27, to March 26, 2021

 

The Recreation, Sports, Culture and Community Life Department, in partnership with Chelsea Trails and Voie verte Chelsea invite you, once again, to participate in Winter Fun Days! activities.

This year, the event will take place from February 27 to March 26 to make the most of winter sports!

 

Programming

When: February 28th and March 1st

Time: from 9am to 4pm (by registration only)

Location: CLSC de Chelsea located at 490 Route 105

Price: free of charge

Age group: six years and older

 

Participate in an introductory cross-country skiing session with instructors to learn or perfect your technique. The session will take place on the community trail and its enchanting winter setting!

  • Cross-country ski equipment provided
  • One instructor per group

Please note that in order to respect the sanitary instructions issued by the Gouvernement du Québec, we offer 12 two-hour time slots with a maximum of four participants per group.

 

COVID-19: Please note that additional sanitary measures will be taken by the on-site team to ensure the disinfection of each piece of equipment. In addition, a minimum distance of two meters must be maintained at all times between you and other participants not living under the same roof.

Time: 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (registration only)

Location: Larrimac Golf Club located at 1148, Route 105

Price: free of charge

 

Participate in a Fat bike initiation session to discover the magnificent circuit imagined and realized thanks to the Larrimac Golf Club and Chelsea Highlands.

  • Bike provided
  • Protective helmet to bring
  • Presence of volunteers
  • A canteen on site

The sizes available for the bikes are: small (5'0''-5'5''), medium (5'4''-5'9''), large (5'8''-6'0'') and X-Large (5'11'' - 6'3'').

Please note that in order to respect the sanitary instructions issued by the Gouvernement du Québec, we offer four time slots of one and a half hours each with a maximum of eight participants per group.

Take part in the popular escape rooms phenomenon, directly from Chelsea's territory, using a mobile application.

The goal is simple, find clues and solve the puzzles in order to complete your mission before the end of the stopwatch.

The proposed virtual escape game is the Wakanai game. Available at all times, in all three parks, it allows the whole family to enjoy the great outdoors while working on several skills such as communication, collaboration and leadership.

 

How to Participate

1.Head to one of the following three parks:

  • Farm Point Park located at 311 Chemin de la Rivière
  • Hollow Glen Park located at 12 Chemin du Parc
  • Chelsea Creek Park located on Chemin Emily Carr

2. Scan the QR code, using your smartphone (internet required for this step)

3. Download the mobile application to access the escape game

4. Go on an adventure!

 

Please note that the note that the perimeter of playgrounds in the parks is 1 km and a poster indicating the game instructions will be available on site for consultation.
