Closing of municipal offices on September 12, 2024
Exceptionally, municipal offices will close from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The library remains open as usual.
Update on moratorium on new construction to preserve existing drinking water system capacity
The Municipality of Chelsea has introduced a two-year moratorium on new construction in the village center, effective July 2, 2024, to modernize its infrastructure and promote sustainable development. A public consultation will be held in mid-October to clarify the issues and respond to residents' concerns before final adoption of the by-law in November.

After 12 days, the Municipality of Chelsea has lifted the local state of emergency
The Municipality of Chelsea has lifted the local state of emergency after municipal crews, with the help of contractors, secured the roads and infrastructure affected by the recent torrential rains. Repair work continues on some streets and infrastructures, and we thank residents for their patience and crews for their dedication.
Preventive boil water advisory lifted for the entire water aqueduct system on August 21
The situation has now been restored and water is safe to drink. However, the notice to reduce drinking water consumption is still in effect until August 31.
