Over time, illegal parking, increased crowds and numbers of people on site, excessive noise, alcohol and drug consumption, open fires, garbage, and altercations with residents, not to mention the dangerousness of the site, have become a problem and a concern for emergency services and citizens alike.
The Chelsea Express is distributed free of charge by mail four times a year to all citizens, and is available in digital format.

The Fire Department wishes to inform residents of District 2 and 3 that Chelsea firefighters will be, in the coming months, conducting residential visits to inform and educate homeowners about the provisions of the Chelsea Fire Prevention By-law.
The collection of household hazardous waste is now complete. We are happy to see that this collection is so popular year after year. Now that this one is over, we are asking citizens to remove the remaining hazardous household waste from roadsides.
Despite the constant efforts of our contractor, the collection of household hazardous waste is still in progress. This week, a large part of Chelsea's territory was covered. We expect the few neighbourhoods remaining to be completed by next Tuesday at the latest.
