In Chelsea, two types of positions are open for municipal elections:
The municipality has six electoral districts, each represented by a councilor. You must choose the position you wish to hold before applying.
The role of a municipal elected official is to administer the municipality so that the services provided meet the needs of the population, but also to represent the population and defend its interests.
To be eligible to run for office, you must:

Please note that candidates are not permitted to use the municipality's brand image, i.e., its coat of arms, visual identity, and logo, for their election campaigns.
The Act respecting elections and referendums in municipalities regulates signage during election periods. Consult Chapter VII.1 – Election signage before putting up your election signs.
Because roadside signage can pose safety issues for road users, restrictions apply. Signs must not interfere with pedestrian or vehicle traffic or obscure road signs.
