Road works: Rehabilitation of Chemin du Lac Meech

The Municipality of Chelsea wishes to inform its residents that rehabilitation work will take place on Chemin du Lac Meech between Chemin Dunlop and Promenade de la Gatineau. The duration of the work will be five weeks, from October 13 to November 12.

 

Schedule: Monday to Thursday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. but could vary depending on weather conditions and operational constraints.

Obstruction: During the work, traffic obstructions are to be expected. When the road will be closed, users will be invited to use the detour road via the North Loop.

Nature of the work: The work aims to improve the road's drainage and to make certain curves safer. Various roadway rehabilitation works (widening, partial reconstruction or complete reconstruction) and culvert replacement will also take place.

Local Traffic: Local traffic will be permitted throughout the construction period. Depending on the location of the work in progress, it will be possible to circulate from the south or from the north at the following locations:

  • Parking lots P8
  • Skyline Slope Parking
  • Private residences

A second phase of work is scheduled for the spring of 2021 and will last eight weeks. This final phase will allow the road rehabilitation to be completed. The total cost of this work amounts to $4.3 millions.
