Despite the establishment of the new foundation, there is still work to be done!

December 15, 2020

Have you had a chance to enjoy the Community Trail? Although the spreading and compaction of the MG20b stone has been done along the length of the trail, the work is not yet finished. In 2021, various works will be carried out, such as the addition of guardrails in certain curves, the installation of final signage, the redevelopment of certain intersections considered more dangerous, etc.

Priority of passage

Priority of passage is given to trail users except for certain intersections, namely those of chemin de la Rivière, chemin St-Clément, chemin Carman and Route 105. However, it is strongly recommended that pathway users cross after checking traffic by looking to the left and right.

Signs will soon be installed at the intersections to warn users of the intersection with the roads. Given the increase in traffic on the community pathway, the Municipality would like to remind you of the importance of being cautious at intersections.

How do I access the Community Trail?

This winter, Chelsea residents whose property is not close to the Community Trail can park:

  • at the Farm Point community park parking lot located at 331 de la Rivière Road
  • at the Chelsea CLSC located at 490 Route 105

The Municipality is currently working to make other parking spaces available.
