Avril 16 - Delay in the garbage and compost collection. Please leave your bins at the curb until April 17 at 7:00 p.m.

The Municipality has recently established a Fonds vert program to provide financial leverage and municipal support for environmental, sustainable development and/or active transportation initiatives in the community.

The Fonds vert is available to citizens, local entrepreneurs, non-profit organizations and public agencies (e.g. schools, health care facilities, social services). Types of eligible projects are studies, awareness projects, structuring actions, environmental or active transportation events, as well as exceptional/significant projects.

We encourage you to read the Fonds vert Policy before starting your application.

In case of discrepancies with the French version, please note that the French version always takes precedence.

Each project selected will be eligible for a financial contribution as follows:

  • Projects of $5,000 or less: The amount awarded could represent up to 75% of the total value of eligible expenses.
  • Projects of $5,001 to $25,000: The amount awarded could represent up to 50% of the total value of eligible expenses.

The next call for projects will take place in the fall of 2024.

Projects will then be preliminarily analyzed and presented to Council in early 2025 for a final project selection. All participants will receive a response regarding the acceptance or rejection of their project proposal.

Further details will be announced shortly.

We invite you to send your complete application by email to environnement@chelsea.ca or by mail to the attention of the Environmental and Sustainable Development Advisor at 100 Chemin d'Old Chelsea, Chelsea, Qc J9B 1C1.

Any application received before or after the application period will be automatically rejected.
