October 25, 2022
On October 24, 2022, the procedure for requesting a referendum vote was held at the Town Hall for the Zoning (1215-22) and Subdivision (1216-22) by-laws in accordance with the Loi sur les élections et les référendums dans les municipalités. The number of signatures of qualified voters required to request a referendum vote on the by-laws was 595 signatures for each by-law.
The zoning and subdivision by-laws are deemed to have been approved by those eligible to vote.
The secretary-treasurer will table the certificate attesting to the official result of the register at the regular council meeting of November 1st.
It should be noted that Zoning By-law 1215-22 and Subdivision By-law 1216-22 were adopted by the Municipal Council at the October 4th meeting and had to be submitted to the referendum process before being sent to the MRC des Collines-de-l'Outaouais for approval.
The Municipality would like to thank all the residents who came out on October 24 to participate in the process of requesting a referendum vote. The comments received by residents during the process will be reviewed and the Municipality invites you to submit any comments or questions to plan@chelsea.ca.
