It was with Minister Stephanie Vallée, deputy of Gatineau, Minister of Justice and Minister responsible for the Outaouais region, that the announcement was made this morning at a press conference at the Municipal Library.

Turbidity notice : cloudiness of water but drinkable

Please note that a Turbidity Notice is currently issued for the day throughout the territory. Turbidity gives a cloudy effect to water, but can be safely consumed.

What is a turbidity notice?

Turbidity is a measure of the relative clarity or cloudiness of water. It is not a direct measure of suspended particles, but rather a general measure of the scattering and absorbing effect that suspended particles have on light.
