The Municipality of Chelsea has banned the use of pesticides for aesthetic purposes on the entire territory, except in certain cases mentioned in the by-law, for which it is necessary to obtain a permit from the municipality before any pesticide is used.
ALTERNATIVES AND SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES
Weeds can be removed by hand or by using a vinegar and apple cider mixture of equal parts and spraying the boiling hot liquid.
In a litre of water, add 30 ml (2 tablespoons) of biodegradable soap or biodegradable insecticidal soap to water your plants or spray the leaves.
