What is an oversized item?

An oversized item is a waste that, because of its size or volume, cannot be placed in your green bin.

You can dispose of an oversized item that doesn't fit in your green bin during municipal waste collection, such as :

  • Bed frames
  • Carpet
  • Mattress
  • House furniture
  • Small piece of furniture
  • Sports equipment
  • Toilet bowls

How to dispose of oversized items

From January 2024, the bulky items collection will be reduced to once a month. You will find the weeks identified on the 2024 collection calendar.

During bulky items collection week, please place your items next to your bin on your municipal collection day. Your bulky items must be placed at the curb no later than 7 a.m. on the morning of the collection day, or no earlier than 7:00 p.m. the day before.

Limit of four bulky items per collection.
