Mayor's Report on the 2018 Budget Forecast for the Municipality of Chelsea

January 9, 2018

Dear residents,

It is with pleasure that I present to you the budget estimates for the year 2018. I would like to acknowledge the efforts of the members of Council in this first budget of our mandate. I believe this budget reflects the needs and interests of Chelsea residents,

What's new

Door to door compost collection

The Ministère de Développement durable, Environnement et Lutte contre les changements climatiques (MDDELCC) has established a goal of banning all organic material from landfills by 2020 in their Politique québécoise de gestion des matières résiduelles. To this aim, the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais has incorporated this objective in its Plan de gestion des matières résiduelles (PGMR). Municipalities must therefore take concrete actions to reduce and eliminate organic materials send to landfills.
