UPDATE | Lifting of the preventive boiling water notice

The Municipality of Chelsea informs its residents of the lifting of the preventive boiling water notice that was in effect since March 13, for homes and businesses connected to the drinking water system. For these residents and business owners, it is no longer necessary to boil the water before drinking.

The Municipality of Chelsea apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank the people affected by this situation for their patience and understanding.

UPDATE | PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER ADVISORY IN THE CENTRE-VILLAGE SECTOR OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CHELSEA

This is a follow up from Municipality to inform residents about the boil advisory notice currently in place.

Given that the aqueduct broke down earlier on Monday, we are required to conduct tests to ensure that the water is drinkable according to Health Canada norms and procedures. These tests should not be done on the same day and results may take 24 to 48 hours to get disclosed, and then, these results must be sent to the Ministry to receive approval to lift the boil notice.

PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER ADVISORY IN THE CENTRE-VILLAGE SECTOR OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF CHELSEA

The Municipality of Chelsea is issuing a precautionary boil water advisory for all residents and merchants located in the sector between chemin de l'Hôtel-de-Ville and chemin Scott who are served by our municipal water system due to a watermain break. This advisory is in effect immediately.
