Community trail: your input to the greenhouse gas study

The Municipality of Chelsea and the Regional Council of Environment and Sustainable Development of Outaouais (CREDDO) are partnering to reflect on certain environmental benefits resulting from the creation of the community trail along the Chelsea railway corridor. One of these advantages is certainly the opportunity to reduce your carbon footprint by using the trail for active transportation and recreation. These actions will contribute to reducing the municipality’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions as well as to enhance the livelihood of the residents.

The purpose of this survey is to evaluate the impact of the community trail project on the transportation and recreation habits of citizens of Chelsea and to identify their effects on GHG emissions.

It is noted that the survey will end on Sunday July 2 at midnight.

Let’s talk about the proposal of a community trail

Thursday, July 6, 6 pm | Farm Point Community Centre

The Municipality of Chelsea invites you to an evening of collective reflection to gather ideas and comments about the proposed community trail along the railway corridor. The Municipality wishes to manage this space going forward, respecting the community and residents’ peace of mind. Your opinion is important in order to make this a shared decision. The firm BC2, in charge of the social impact study, will be there to gather your input and ideas. Your feedback then will be compiled and presented to the municipal Council. Residents who can’t attend this evening consultation may send their comments and ideas to sadmo@groupebc2.com. Please note that the proposed telephone interviews will now be in the form of an online survey (printed copies are available on request at the municipal office). This change will allow BC2 to collect a greater number of comments and suggestions.

Please confirm your presence before July 5 at 4 pm at loisirs@chelsea.ca or 819-827-6228.
