What are oversized metal items?

 

Oversized metal items are large objects made primarily of metal, such as:

• Exercise equipment (treadmill, elliptical, etc.)
• Household appliances (washer, dryer, stove, refrigerator, etc.)
• Machine tools without oil or fuel (lawnmower, chainsaw, etc.)
• Metal posts and pipes
• Pumps

How to dispose of oversized metal items

 

As of January 2024, the bulky metal collection will be reduced to once a month for the entire year. You will find the dates identified on the 2024 collection calendar.

To dispose of these items, you must contact the Municipality at 819 827-1160, at least 48 hours before the collection date so that we can notify the contractor.

Items must be placed at the curb no later than 7:00 a.m. on the morning of the collection day, or no earlier than 7:00 p.m. the day before.

There is no limit to the amount of metal bulky items that can be collected.
